Our new friends over at Nice Technology have recently launched (in Beta) a new MMO  title; Picaroon.

Picaroon is a free-to-play MMORTS – Battle, alone or with allies, as a futuristic pirate fighting to control the land in a water-world apocalypse. You get to build massive fleets, sail the seas (watching out for whirlpools, giant squid and pirates!) and settle or conquer new islands. You can deploy Special cards to sink entire fleets, erupt volcanoes or call up a lightning strike! Think of them as powerups.  Revel in a unique climactic finale (endgame) where you receive rare technology from the Warlord Kingdoms in return for your tributes: beware the mammoth ships that appear out of nowhere alongside submarines launching ancient nuclear tipped missiles.

Picaroon has strategies for all, builders, attackers, defenders and diplomats.

To celebrate the approching official launch of Picaroon, Nice Technology have provided us with a bunch of codes that you can use in the game store to purchase various different boosts like additional power, speed boosts and extra rarity scores.

Drive Infiniti is taking to the streets of London for an unprecedented roadshow, during which fans will be offered the chance to win a month in the driving seat!

The unique event will offer residents of London and surrounding areas an exclusive chance to win ownership of the iconic FX30 for one month, including fuel. Entry will be via the website www.driveinfiniti.co.uk – which is set to go live later this month or by texting ‘infiniti’ to 60070.

During the roadshow, there will also be daily opportunities to win lunch for two at the acclaimed Rhodes 24 restaurant, as well as goodie-bag giveaways. Drive Infiniti comprises a series of events designed to let discerning drivers get up close and personal with one of the most talked-about new car brands in the UK.

From Monday 28th February to Friday 4th March, a five-car convoy of Infiniti’s flagship FX30 model, in stylish white and black, will be rolling out into central London’s main business districts, as well as major office sites in surrounding counties. This will be followed up with a five-day display in the City of London. Drive Infiniti will be at Broadgate Circle on Monday 14th March and Tuesday 15th March, before moving to Canary Wharf from Wednesday 16th March to Friday 18th March.

On Tuesday 2^nd Feb Sam and I attended the UK premier of the new Manga release; Dante’s Inferno in London. This was produced in association with EA Games for the upcoming release Dante’s Inferno for Xbox 360 and PS3.

The event was held in association with Sci-Fi London at the Apollo Cinema in Piccadilly Circus. SCI-FI-London is the UK’s leading genre event and an internationally recognised launch pad for genre movies. At each festival they have at least a dozen UK premieres and in the last few years they have had the first public screening (ahead of the USA!) of 28 Weeks Later and the world premiere of Bruce (Iron Maiden) Dickinson’s Chemical Wedding. Although this was not part of this years SCI-FI London festival (which runs from 28^th April to 3^rd May) we were able to grab some swag for you all.
